What is the best exercise to lose weight?
What is the best exercise to lose weight can be a tough one to answer. It depends on what you're after. If you're looking for exercises that help you lose weight fast that require little more than 15 minutes a day, there is no better program out there than this one.
Note that I can't tell you what the absolute best exercise is though, because you have to determine this yourself. However, I can tell you what exercises are the most effective and then let you choose which one suits you best.
Bicycling
This one has got to qualify as the most fun exercise. What's better than riding around, inhaling fresh air and observing the beautiful landscape, all while losing your excess pounds? The only downside to this is weather – you can't do it if it's raining outside! Workaround: get an indoor excercise bike.
Other sports
They are fun and effective. Think swimming, tennis, football, and err... pretty much whatever tickles your fancy. A general rule of thumb is the more physical effort they require, the more effective they will be as far as burning your fat goes.
The gym
Go to your local fitness center and try some cardio exercises. There is no 'best exercise' here, try them all and find out the ones you like. Then pick one (or a couple) and do it religiously. Do it 2-3 times per week for at least 45 minutes. If you don't have time, try doing it at least once a week.
Finally, if you're not feeling in the mood for straining effort, try:
Walking
Do this one when you're too tired for anything else. Note that this one is not as affective as the above exercises, so if you want to make it a bit more hardcore, try alternating walking and running. Run for a bit, stop and normally walk when you get fatigued, then run some more. Rinse and repeat.
